Bracelet Stack Series! DIY Bracelet #2

DIY bracelet stack series! How to make bracelet No. 2.It’s time for the second bracelet of this week’s mini-series.

Today’s design is quite simple but I think it still looks great (after all, sometimes simple is best!) For those who have only just tuned in, this bracelet is one of three designs that I’m making. If you haven’t seen the first one, don’t forget to check it out here.

Here’s a little peeky of the bracelets in this series…

Anyway..there’s not much else to say, so let’s get bracelet-making!

Materials I used:

  • Fishing string
  • Some mint green beads
  • Some gold beads
  • Some dark green beads
  • Some bronze beads
  • A clasp and hook
  • 2 crimp beads
  • A jump ring
  • A little bracelet charm
  • Scissors
  • Pliers
  • (Optional) Shoe box lid and bulldog clip

Steps:

(Keep in mind that I have a teeny tiny wrist so my quantities may be different than yours)

1. Cut a piece of fishing string 3 times the size of your wrist.

2. Thread a clasp onto the center of the string.

3. With the clasp at the tip, fold the string in half. Then thread a crimp bead onto the double-string. Use pliers to squeeze the crimp bead in place.

4. (Optional) Hook the clasp onto a bulldog clip and clip it to the edge of a shoe box lid. This makes it easier to make the bracelet.

6. When you’re finished, make sure the bracelet fits the size of your wrist. When you’re happy, add a crimp bead and then a jump ring.

7. Using the string, make a loop over the jump ring and thread the string back into the crimp bead.

8. Tighten the string and use pliers to squeeze the crimp bead in place.

9. Cut off any excess string or tuck it under the beads.

10. Use pliers to attach the charm and hook to the jump ring.

You’ve now completed your second bracelet. Only one more bracelet to go to finish this set! Tune in tomorrow to see how it all ends… Bye!
