Life hack! Make a DIY phone stand in under 5 minutes using a ring box - Miss Caly

Ever wanted to watch a movie on your phone whilst doing boring homework? Well now you can! (Not that I recommend it…you get totally distracted!)

Today’s life hack was something I came up with by accident. I really wanted to watch some YouTube videos on my phone while I was waiting for my blog photos to load but I hated the thought of having my phone faced up on the table because I couldn’t really enjoy the video properly. In that moment, (conveniently) there happened to be a ring box on my table. I opened it and laid my phone on it. WOAH. *dramatic music* *crowd cheer* *bows*

And hence, then came the birth of this idea.

I’ve seen so many different hacks on how to make phone stands and love them all. It’s so cool how people can turn random household items into something so useful. I’ve heard of people using sunglasses, paper clips, bulldog clips and rings as stands. My new favourite is my Ring Box stand because it literally takes 2 minutes to make.

Steps:

  1. Cut the cardboard to the size of the front of your ring box, leaving an extra 5mm space on the top. (See image for reference)
  2. Cover this in pretty scrap paper
  3. Glue the cardboard piece to the front of your box.

You now have a cute and portable phone stand!
