The school holidays began last week and so comes the time to finally have a nice long break from those hours of sitting behind wooden desks, staring blankly at a white board. Yayyyyyy!….. yay…? Now half the holidays have passed and I’m still sitting behind my wooden desk, not doing anything grand. Seriously, where has the time gone?!
Well, I guess my time has gone into doing several things. First of all, I’ve been watching Masterchef and binge watching Game of Thrones (in which my only regret is not watching it sooner). Apart from that, I’ve also been making DIY phone cases (see these on my Instagram!), eating lots, doodling like crazy and occasionally stepping foot out into the vast terrains of my backyard to experience some vitamin D. With so much happening these days, I find that alone time doesn’t come as often as I’d like. I think a lot of us really are quite submerged in our social and work/school life that we tend to forget to do a little something for ourselves every once in a while. Life simply moves on so fast and it’s hard to keep up when we’re so caught up with other people and the problems surrounding us. Continue reading
Hello, hello, hello!
Being a student for twelve years, I know first hand that studying can be a difficult, boring, tedious, (*insert all the negative adjectives that exist*) thing to do. The mere thought of it makes me sleepy for some reason. Maybe it’s because I used to try and cram it all in late at night. Or because it’s just so draining…so draining in fact, that I always kept putting it off until the very last minute. I’m sure I’m not the only one guilty of frantic note-taking, hardcore highlighting and staying up past midnight the night before an exam. Continue reading
I may not be the most productive person in the world, but I sure do have a thing for planners. (If you haven’t already noticed from my abundance of ‘planning’ posts, I love to write and organise things!) Especially since it’s the beginning of the year, I’ve been super hard at work getting things together, scribbling to-do’s and dates into my little diary of mine. I also loooovee to customise everything I own because it makes them more personal to me. Basically, this post is a combination of all of the above. Continue reading

BUT, now that all the festivities and celebrations have finished, it’s time to embrace a new beginning and work hard to make it good. New Year’s Resolutions have been made, goals have been set and it’s time to get real serious with ways to achieve them!
With this new fresh feeling in the air and a recharged motivation, today I had a little think of some things to do to make 2016 exciting and successful. Here’s what I’ve come up with: Continue reading
When people talk about health, we often associate it with fitness and dietary habits. But how often to we think about our mental health? I believe mental health is one of the most – if not, the most – important part of our well being. It makes us who we are and drives us to make all those important decisions in life. All our choices depend on our attitude and interests, which in the end is dependant on our happiness.
This December, I want to focus on, well, happiness, and ways we can make 2016 the best year it can possibly be.
There are so many ways you can keep a positive mindset and I’m sure there are many other posts just like this one, telling you ‘how to feel good.’ But the thing is, it’s easy to simply feel joy, but it can take a lot of motivation to maintain happiness. Today I just want to share with you a few habits that I find especially helpful in keeping a positive outlook in life – some things you might like to try too. Continue reading
